It's a pretty standard PF. Very busy even until 9-9:30 at night. The bathrooms and showers appear to be relatively clean. They have a better pull-up/ropes area than other PFs such as the ones in Quincy Center and Downtown Crossing
On my first day, I noticed the taller gentleman really protecting the gym by telling a group of young men that they were abusing of gym privileges because they tried to sneak in several guests over and over again. The guys accepted faults and said it wont happen again. He was kind enough to cut them some slack and warned them to not do it again. I doubt they did lol the look of shame was hilarious. If you know better do better!
Very rude customer service. I went there to sign up and the women there had very little interest in signing me up. Oh also, the staff is racist, so that's a shocker. This gym ripped off my mom and takes out money from her account without permission. I do not recommend this place to anyone!
My personal opinion based on my experience:
I love this Gym! My husband and I go 5 times a week at different times and all of the staff is great! I don't understand these negative reviews. We're 63 and want to stay fit. It really is a no judgement zone.
The work out equipment( that is available) is in GREAT condition! No issues here. I love the solo fit and if you are someone who enjoys a good PEACEFUL workout, I recommend you go overnight. If you go in the evening hours the gym is hotter, like a humidity type of heat, with perves. Maybe I observe too much but I have caught dudes at this gym randomly recording my friend and on one occasion a guy literally decided to exercise right by my friend who was in the middle of squats (and there was soo much room elsewhere!) so I cant help it. Its annoying and if your just like me GO WORK OUT OVERNIGHT, ITS PEACEFUL AND THE STAFF IS VERY HONEST. I don't know the names of both gentlemen I have checked in with, but I can read people well, they are true and honest. They don't look away when I ask questions, or stutter. I usually make people nervous because I have a strong focus on how they answer my questions and they can tell!
This is one of my favorite Planet Fitness locations to visit. The staff is friendly and helpful. The men's locker room and the fitness floor are maintained good (wiping, dusting, vacuuming and all). The equipment is generally all functioning and the weights and cable machine accessories are generally placed in their correct locations. I find most of the patrons here to be friendly and they are regular patrons at this location.
This gym budgets way too much.. Pizza is out early, they don't have basic items other gyms have (such as the total body enhancement machine and vending machines available to purchase locks...I hate the combination locks available at the desk lol I want to unlock and GO!).. The handicap shower floods so I WONT recommend it to someone with a disability (I hate to say this part)... the evening staff is awful to say the least (they gladly tell you the massage beds are down yet the system when I checked looked like its running just fine) They way they said it let me know it is a norm for them, they were too eager to say it and didn't have a tiny bit of compassion or care for how we would feel to hear its "down". I get paid to observe lol and boy it sucks to notice that kind of bs.
I really hope the person in charge of running this gym gets my message! once he has reached out (if) , then I will gladly remove this post, trusting he/she will use it as feedback to make improvements in the near future. Baby steps at least, even a thought is something in progress. :) all the best, Jessica
